About the Founder

Mark Kirkbride is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser who spent 14 years working with the major international practices of Ernst & Young and Price Waterhouse before starting his own practice in 1995.
Mark's particular expertise is in the area of direct taxes - income tax, corporation tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax. Additionally Mark has particular experience with the small business sector (companies and partnerships) and has a detailed knowledge of farming and agriculture. For two years Mark served on the committee of the Farming Group of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, which is a specialist group formed to promote the services of Chartered Accountants to the farming and landowning sectors and to increase the skill base of accountants who deal with this sector.
Over the years Mark has always worked with clients to find appropriate solutions to their problems. This may involve tailoring a plan to engineer the successful handing over of assets or a family business to the next generation, or equally dealing with those once in a lifetime type events such as the disposal of a business on retirement.
Mark also engages other specialists when appropriate. He has a network of highly skilled contacts in their own field.
At the end of the day though the objective is to provide clients with value for money and to this end the firm has a low overhead base and customer satisfaction is paramount.
